_{the admins were so kind as to give me an extension, so I finally managed to get it done!}

Feng isn't really the kind who bothers dressing up, but the Phoenix bears a deep significance to her (since that's essentially what her name means), so when she heard about the Aurum Calendar project, she decided to give it a shot, hoping it would give her additional purpose to her time at Aurum.

She's not very good at designing or creating costumes so she downed a few wing-growing potions and simply plucked out the prettiest feathers from the wings she grew to ~~stick on her forehead~~ make a decorative headpiece and decorate her costume. The rest of her costume was improvised from clothes she already owned ~~and jewellery she swiped from the dressing room because it was shinyyyyy~~. She also put on gold contact lenses to match the look.

about the costume…_{I wanted to experiment between designing a costume based on the traditional chinese cheongsam, with a blend of Egyptian elements (well since Feng has Cleopatra-like hair anyway) as there are some sources that say the phoenix was present in ancient Egyptian mythology. When researching on references i noted that some phoenixes had aqua-coloured feathers infused into their plumage, and i thought that was interesting so I used that colour scheme in this costume.}

The bright colours nearly killed my eyes with this one. But it was fun! Not used to drawing wings and feathers or colouring them, I like how these assignments push me out of my comfort zone. ^_^
